MVNU iPad App

MVNU iPad App

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) asked Eyethink to develop an iPad tablet application that would be the focus of their presence at the 2011 Nazarene Youth Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Eyethink was also asked to design the booth and all graphics for the event.

Our objective was to create a rich interactive experience that would engage the high-school students at the conference and live on as a dynamic tool in the hands of university recruiters.

We designed a web-based application that includes text, video and hundreds of images depicting aspects of campus life, the surrounding community and achievements of selected alumni. At the event, students interact with the tablet via the gesture-based navigation or by using the built-in
camera to capture QR codes placed within the booth. The codes take the user directly to specific sections and stories within the app. The camera can also be used to record images of the students themselves that are printed onsite and incorporated into a piece they can take home with them.

The app also includes a section aimed specifically at parents and a simple form that allows recruiters to capture basic contact information. Connecting the tablet to a projector turns it into an effective tool for group presentations.
